ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1. Description ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Billboard displays a message to fill the window. The text of the message, font
and colors can be changed. Optionally, the program can be activated
automatically at start-up time for a personalised greeting (by setting the
program properties with the desktop shell).
Any installed vector font can be used for the display.
Select Options from the system menu to view or change the displayed text, font
and colors.
Select About from the system menu for copyright information.
Select Close from the system menu to terminate the program. The current window
size, position and display attributes will be saved for subsequent execution.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 2. Help for Options ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Refer to the Description for general help on this program.
Use the options dialog to change the displayed text, text color, background
color and font. A sample of the resultant display is updated immediately with
any changes made.
Press OK to accept these changes or Cancel to ignore changes and return to main
display with original settings.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 3. Help for Font ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
A list of available fonts is displayed, with the current font highlighted. This
list can be scrolled and a new font selected. The font selected will be scaled
to fit the displayed window, depending on window size and text layout.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 4. Help for Text Color ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The displayed text color can be changed by pressing the button with the desired
color. The current color is indicated, and a sample of the result displayed.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 5. Help for Background Color ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The displayed background color can be changed by pressing the button with the
desired color. The current color is indicated, and a sample of the result
displayed.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 6. Help for Text ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Enter or change the displayed text. Normal editing rules apply to this field.
The text will be centred in the displayed window and scaled to window size.
A maximum of sixteen lines and 1000 characters applies to the entered text.
Preceding or trailing blank lines will be ignored on display.

This dialog displays version number, copyright information and author contacts
for the program.
Press OK to terminate the dialog.
